Texas joined more than two dozen other states Wednesday in offering a financial safety net for elderly and disabled people on Medicaid who have had trouble getting their prescriptions filled under the new Medicare drug program.
Gov. Rick Perry directed state officials to provide the assistance in response to growing concerns that many people eligible for both Medicaid and Medicare have been denied their medications or overcharged for them.
I wonder. With 25 states stepping in to provide emergency drug assistance will anyone who actually wrote the law be held to account for its failures?
