Now i can plainly see that this thing is the lowest of low quality and probably performs like garb. But for 50 bucks would this be plyable for home use monitoring? (Watch my driveway/garage area for break ins etc..)

Or would this just be a waste of time because i couldnt see what was going on anyway?

I don't think this is the right place to find an answer...home surveillance and computer are two different things.
