OMG Those ships are unreal. Do they take up the whole system?!?! Dangit, I do NOT want to reactivate my account so knock it off.

It is too bad my life is so busy right now that I dont have time to sit down and learn how to play this game. It really does seem like a great MMORPG.

I'm a spec of dust on that chart. Infact, I might even just be a dead pixel on this LCD. lol.

Dunno but you can use mmorpg.com to get a free 14 day trial.

Cool thanks. Sounds like it will be fun to try out over the holidays.

Might wanna add 56k unfriendly.

Freespace2 is an ancient game by todays standards... I think EVE has just surpassed it in Ship-Size-WOW!!! factor.

Comparing the size of a Ptah Stealth Fighter to the Sathanas class ships was comparing a Malteaser to a human, this seems to go even further.

Although, Im not sure how X3: Reunion compares in ship size but I dont think it matches even FS2.

EVE is a game that tempts me and repels me at the same time. If I get the backlog of work done and get Christmas off, I might pick up the 14 day trial and give it a whirl but Im more likely to play EVE's successor/similar space based MMO if one appears.

been playing EVE since 08/2003 and am currently waiting for the patch to be finished at 0:00 hours tonight GMT.

Honestly, I doubt any game will ever try to go where EVE has gone.

1) not enough market to try to break into it

2) the single player sci-fi games are well known for not being well supported ( X2, Nexus, FS, Freelancer, etc )

3) you have to innovate and hope you can steal market share based on new ideas ( do you really see someone re-inventing the MMO if sony can't do so with Galaxies ? )

4) it is quite possibly the best sci-fi MMO ever created

5) The EVE developers are icelandic and if you think you can out drink them or out program them... or buy developers that will work for grain whiskey... think again!

I destroyed all my cruisers the last time I reactivated my account. Still got my bestower though. I just don't have time to play an MMO right now :(
