This is supposed to be a greta Anime, right?
I rented it, full name Neon Genisis Evangelion, and it was a only an hour long, and seemed to be missing a few episodes? Did I rent the wrong movie?

check the box. it should say 0:4 or 1:4. Cant remember which is first. It should of had the first 4 episodes of the series in it. There are about 20 some odd shows if i remember correct, probably more..

Sounds like you got a bad tape or a homemade one.

Its a pretty good series if you are into the anime.

You probably rented one of the video's that were of the TV series. Which isn't a bad thing, because the movies would probably not make a whole lot of sense without watching the TV series first.

I believe there were 4 Evangelion movies (Death:Rebirth, End of Evangelion, and Death(True)). What is confusing is that the "movies" in some part were remakes of other parts of the series. The 4th movie is a combination of the 3 previously mentioned movies.

I think there are 26 TV episodes . . .but I heard they made a 27th episode because the last episodes were so strange . . . I've seen the first 26 . . . does anybody have the supposed 27th episode?

There are 26 episodes (13 VHS volumes, there will be a total of 8 DVDs for the series), and 2 movies that pick up after ep 24 since they didn't get to end the series properly. The movies will be released on DVD by I think US Manga Corps in October sometime (after ADV releases the final series DVD).
