Evanescence - Origin

The Prodigy's first single was a limited release on vinyl, only went for ~$30 a pop though. (The copy my brother found that is, others were more though)
 
rock, but some of its soft rock-ish. still retains a bit of a metal feel, though. I like em.

dude, I'm pretty sure Evanescence has at least two albums before Fallen. maybe three. they've been around a long time, this is just the first time they've hit it big. mighta been an underground indie thing before? I dunno, I don't look into this stuff. I just pick up bits and pieces here and there.

not hard to find a copy through bittorrent, if you already own the cd of course but don't know how to properly rip 🙂
 
I didn't mean to make this into a "let's everyone find the copies of the songs!" thread... just makes you appreciate them a bit more when rare stuff is actually wanted. When was the last time 50+ people wanted a modern band's CD for $200+ ?
 
I have a copy! 🙂 I was a fan like 3 months before Fallen was released and bought it. 😀 I wonder if it'll go up more..😀

they go for waaaay to much. on DC101, they said "don't waste your money, go download it" 😛

i also found a LOT of stuff on BT... i'm glad i found it, some stuff on there i really like.
 
You know, not everyone's a thief... or wants to be. The actual produced CD is rare, not the songs...

The band has openly said that they would rather people download the songs than pay so much for it on ebay by money-grubbers. The CD is out of production, and they want their music heard, but not for $200+.

exactly. when the band tells me to go download their songs.. i'll do it. i'm not paying some lucky bum who happens to have a few of these CD's and making a crapload on it. There was speculation that the company who was selling the cd's stopped when evanescence got big... and started hittin ebay w/ the cd's. they were ~$100 when they first started touring.. now double.. amazing.
