I see hotter Hispanic girls than her almost every day. Not joking. She's not fugly or anything, but I cannot understand the appeal.

No. I don't read that crap. I have no reason to so much as glance at the magazine racks. I have subscription to the only mag I give a crap about (New Scientist) and just seeing the covers of those laughable celebrity magazines makes me want to puke.

I guess with all her cover pictures you cant actually tell her size... She is smokin hot though in most of her photo shoots.

Eva Longoria. Just like ANY celebrity you should not care. No one should care, they are just people, nothing special at all.

That said, I never recommend ignorance. You seem like the person who wouldn't want to be ignorant, so let me help educate you on this segment of pop culture. Click this link (barely NSFW picture). Eva was rated ~#100 in the hottest women for a couple of years until she became a leading TV actress on a hit TV show. Suddenly she was consistantly voted the #1 hottest woman. As you can see in that picture, with lots of photoshop work, makeup, and just the right photographer, she is quite hot. She does have what I consider one of the best bodies possible - short with curves. Plus, as an avid salsa dancer, she knows how to move those curves (I too am an avid salsa dancer).

Now, click here. Just like ALL the celebrities that many men drool over, Eva isn't very hot without all the makeup, special camera angles, and photoshop. No celebrity is that hot without all of those.

The thing that I don't understand is that when you see these people without all the special effects, how do they get into the spotlight where people who might actually be more attractive don't? Is it based on nothing but talent (or the ability to appear talented)? In many cases you wouldn't think so.

Who? No one is really that attractive when photographed without makeup, without good clothes, and at a bad camera angle like in my 2nd link. There is nobody who is significantly more attractive to take their place. If you catch anyone on their sick day/bad hair day/day they don't care about appearance, they aren't going to be very hot.

But to answer your question, I think it is (A) who you know and (B) how many times you try. Very few people are just randomly spotted out of a crowd and placed as a star in a hit TV show. If you are the most attractive person in the world, you still won't be randomly picked out. You have to get in the producer's face, repeatedly, and let them know who you are.
