What a joke. Socialism/liberalism is out of control over there. The killer has more rights than the victims and their families...

Anders Behring Breivik: Norway court rules him sane
Breivik always insisted he was sane

A Norwegian court has ruled that mass killer Anders Behring Breivik is sane, sentencing him to 21 years in prison.

Breivik admitted killing 77 people and wounding more than 240 others when he bombed central Oslo and then opened fire at an island youth camp last year.

He insisted he was sane and refused to plead guilty, seeking to justify his attacks by saying they were necessary to stop the "Islamisation" of Norway.

Prosecutors had called for him to be considered insane.

The five judges were unanimous in ruling that Breivik was sane.

They gave him the maximum sentence of 21 years, but that can be prolonged at a later if he is deemed to remain a danger to society.

Court-appointed psychiatrists disagreed on Breivik's sanity. A first team which examined him declared him to be a paranoid schizophrenic, but the second found he was sane.

Before the verdict, Breivik said psychiatric care would be "worse than death".

Breivik carried out the meticulously planned attack in July 2011, wearing a fake police uniform, and methodically hunted down his victims.

He accused the Labour Party of promoting multiculturalism and endangering Norway's identity.

Some victims at the Labour Party youth camp on Utoeya island were shot in the head at point-blank range.

Dari, you know damn well this belongs in P&N, not OT

21 years is a long time. If he accepts Jesus Christ as his lord and savior, he could be reformed by the end of his stay.

21 years in prison

Prison is a wrong word for it. State funded hotel, more like it.

Yes, this is Norwegian prison. His "punishment" for killing 77 kids.

chances are he will never be let out of prison,

However, that can be prolonged at a later date if he is deemed to remain a danger to society.

they can extend his stay indefinitely after the initial sentence is up.

besides it's their system, don't move there if ya don't like it.

If you believe a mass murderer should spend 21 years in a free hotel room complete with TV and entertainment, you have issues.

I think he should be shot. But he'll never be released any more then manson will. Besides, he was fighting for a good cause imo.

What I believe doesn't matter. It's what they believe, after all it is their country.

I'd take Norway over the US any day of the week.

I don't think he'll ever be getting out. also, fuckoff to P&N.

Besides, OP. He killed leftists, you should be stoked and give him a medal.

correction... norwegian justice...
Here in the Netherlands we still have life without parol, which i don't doubt he would've gotten.

Dari is a self-admitted arsonist who literally supports lynching should a majority approve of it. His opinions on justice are irrelevant.

What's the crime rates in Norway again?

Oh, and he will never get out of prison. How about you learn how their justice system works before mouthing off?

He's never getting out of prison. It takes very little reading comprehension to work that one out.

Shame they don't have the death penalty and he's just another drain on society.

He's not getting out after 21 years. He's being "contained" meaning he has to serve 21 years and then he'll be evaluated and considered for release ever 5 years. Maybe he'll be released out of old age if he lives to be 80.

Also: OP, you're a moron and it makes your parents sad.

If he goes to that prison, don't think they've said where he's going yet. Either way the goal of their prisons is rehabilitation, not lock someone up in a concrete cell for a set amount of time. Several here that have that philosophy, and its been shown to be more effective.

Still' he won't be allowed to interact with any prisoners in whatever prison he goes to.
