Confirming a Jeux France report, Sony Computer Entertainment Europe told Next-Gen that an SCEE-wide Gran Turismo 5 Prologue bundle will be released on March 28. It will include a 40GB PS3, a copy of Gran Turismo 5 Prologue and a single Sixaxis controller for ?399.

The news confirms that Gran Turismo 5 Prologue itself will be out in Europe by March 28, having previously been given a ?late March? release.

Additionally, a PS3 Blu-ray bundle initially limited to France will be released on March 19 for ?399. The Blu-ray bundle, which will feature a 40GB console, a single Sixaxis controller and Blu-ray copies of Casino Royale, Spider-Man 3 and 300, may subsequently be released in Spain and Italy where it could feature different movies.

Earlier this week SCEA president Jack Tretton announced the upcoming North American release of a Metal Gear Solid 4 80GB PS3 bundle and a God of War: Chains of Olympus PSP Slim bundle. The PS3 included in the US Metal Gear Solid 4 bundle will be partially backwards compatible.

I'm still wondering what MS's response will be to all the PS3 bundling.

a GTA4 bundle will be annouced if not a price cut. I'm feeling it in my gut. Or maybe that is the eggs doing the talking. :D The bundling to me is nothing more than a price cut anyways.

personally i'd rather have the price cut than some bundled game. More often than not companies give your rather crappy games. Not like the old days.

GT5 Prologue and MGS4 seem like pretty solid games to include in a bundle.

I wonder why Sony releases different bundle packages for different PS3 editions for different regions.

Because every region is different and has different tastes and different needs. The GT series is a much bigger hit in Europe where professional motorsports are more popular than in the USA.

Now that I think about it, it seems odd to offer a bundle with a Mature rated game (not that it will matter, because MGS4 will sell like hot cakes and plenty of kiddies will likely be playing it).

I'm referring to the 80GB PS3 + MGS4 bundle, of course.

But no 80 gig bundle in Europe (yet)? No 40 gig bundle in America (yet)? Do you expect them to announce something?

That's like bundling a demo. What a bunch of jerks.
(Yes I own GT5P, its the only PS3 game that I have, and I have to say it is the least fun game out of all the Concept/Prologue GT games that were released)
