Some more info btw:
The forum admin was an Israeli living in the Netherlands, the problem with collecting evidence was that they not only put the illegal stuff in an encrypted and password protected section but also would usually remove it within minutes or hours at most. The site has members all over the world, and the admin was so willing to cooperate as they had evidence of him going to Brazil to another forum member's house and there rape kids. So he probably wanted to do anything he could to limit the punishment he'd get. Note that many others also went to Brazil from all over the world, so with some luck there will be enough proof to lock up many of them for long enough for the other prisoners to get rid of them.

No it shouldn't.

This isn't a victimless crime. Children suffered in the making of the materials these people were sharing.

I said speech, not materials. Used in the limited sense of... speech.
