Heck yeah... http://img259.imageshack.us/my.php?image=atamizindeyizzq3.jpg

Ugh, I don't know why Greece played so bad. They were the Euro 2004 Defending Champions. A Greek announcer said it "was like they took us back to the old times." (Turkey's oppressive rule over Greece in the Ottoman Empires, and a reference to the Greek Genocide) Oh well, better luck next time, Greece!

EDIT: Is that Ataturk? That guy is a the fvcking spawn of Satan, I don't know why you look up to him. He even looks evil. And I don't know what "he was your father as well!" means... Turkey is and will always be a third world country, which is why they will never be accepted into the EU. Greece has contributed many things to society. What has Turkey contributed? Genocides? Massacres?

what do you mean we? :p

My favorite teams are USA and Ivory Coast (Drogba's my favorite player), but I haven't really kept up with either of them.

Umm, nice job taking it out of context.

Which Greek genocide you talking about? The imaginary one up your head? ;) The one that no other country in the world except Cyprus recognizes? ;) Sorry you hate Ataturk but hey, he saved us from the Islamic fundamentalists and moved us towards a modern Turkey. Classic Greek sourness ;) Father reference goes to the Greek fans that put up a poster saying "Kemal was gay..." behind our goal.

Anyways, I am sorry you have a sour heart after losing to us with 4 goals in your net but hey, it's just a game...

Oh by the way, ISTANBUL since 1-4 53 ;)

This is why there are so many soccer riots. It's a f'in game and I would venture to guess that no one on ATOT has played on a national side.

What, an oxymoron?

;)

You cannot piss me off whatever you say... I have been friends with Greeks on this forum (TheLonelyPhonenix for example) long before you joined so you are just a newbie ;) Anyways, I'd like to repeat...

1-4 in Athens, in your face!

wow a lot of hate for the Turk from the Greek guy.

I have never seen the two go at it before. Where I live they shake hands and give each other discounts at the other's restaurants.

Watched Portugal - Belgium and it kicked ass! 4 - 0!

< - portuguese :D

I am loving the kind of football they play... So tired of all those defending teams that make games super boring, instead Portugal plays an open, fast paced game based on a mix of individual skills and team work, (since they have quite a few brilliant players atm... honorable mention for Cristiano Ronaldo of course!)

It kind of reminds me of Brazil, which is always a good thing

Wow the English team sucks.

I thought it was going to end 3/4-0... Three years without a goal for Rooney. Not bad.

England not looking good at the moment but the midfield is unbalanced. Lampard should be dropped. Get a good midfield behind Rooney and he'll be scoring again or creating chances for the others

As a host Switzerland is automatically qualified so I'll follow the qualifiers more sporadically. I applied for a ticket in the first draw but my chance of getting it is some orders of magnitude smaller than these of the Turkish national team to qualify. :(

Hey! We'll qualify and let me assure you, its gonna be like we are playing at home :p 3M Turks in Germany and about 1.5 million total in Austria and Switzerland so yeah :p

Anyways, I applied for tickets as well, 865 Euros for all the games upto the final... we'll see...

If we win the game on Wednesday, we can lose the rest of our games and still go to the cup :D

Cheers :)

Oh I didn't know that the qualification round had already advanced that far! Yeah I expect to see people rooting for many different teams (many Germans, too, because the Swiss Stadions are near the border).

So you chose the "follow your team" offer. I opted for three individual matches because it's already known where Switzerland will play. Also, I hope to increase my chances a bit to get a ticket. I applied for four tickets in category 2, 1100 Swiss Francs. :)
