Eudora Pro, CD Labelmaker and more free after MIR @ Staples

Not as far as I searched. That's why they gave out different SKU's for the same product. Has anybody succeeded in matching the rebates with staples.com's SKU's?

AGAIN: these rebates apply to the B&M Staples. I had no luck in trying to apply my snailmail rebate coupon on these.


Eudora is really a great product, I had downloaded the free version, but the ad's were really annoying with my slow connection. They would flicker all the time.

NOW that is gone!

BTW the CD Labelmaker is quite good too.

Does anybody know what the sonic (Foundry Acid DJ (??) and Foundry Jukebox ) products are good for?

Well, I dunno. I placed my order online for Eudora & Siren online using a $20 off $50 coupon I found on t*chb*rg**ns. I then filled out the online rebate info. The Eudora rebate clearly states it's for $30. And the Eudora website says the $10 rebate in the box is extended to 12-31-00. Both the Siren & Eudora rebates get mailed to Staples in Coppell, Texas. I guess time will tell.

Because I searched high &amp; low and didn't find it. Perhaps their search engine was low on fuel? A search for &quot;Data Becker&quot; failed to find it; a search for &quot;CD Label&quot; also failed; finally a search for 427918 (the SKU listed here) failed...and thus I concluded they didn't list it.

Note: The search now with your new SKU worked. Strange that the Sonic Foundry items' SKUs were not different but this was...

As noted, there is apparently no rebate on this item, though I was happy with the rebates on Eudora Pro and Sonic Foundry's items -- don't care whether the money comes from the Mfr or from Staples...just as long as it arrives!

jdparsons: yeah, I had that too, whenever Staples Server (running usoft...) are busy, they just say &quot;...not found...&quot;.

Isn't Staples site THE slowest from all? Even Wingspan is better.
Allthough I LOVE Staples and their coupons, their site simply su*** .

On the Eudora Pro, I too purchased the version 4.2, free after rebate, and mine also had the 4.3 CD and manual inside. I just went to the Eudora web site and downloaded and installed the upgrade to 5.0 paid version for free with absolutely not problems, so if you get a box that says 4.2 on it, if you are lucky like many of us, you can get 5.0 for free, making it an even sweeter deal! Only played with 5.0 a bit, but address book looks a better. Haven't played with mood watcher yet or other new features yet.

By talking to my friends I found out, that some boxes have the 29.99$ mfr + 10$ Staples rebates and some boxes come with 40$ flat mfr.
Thus far those boxes with 40$ flat have all V4.3 in them.
The other ones are mixed, one had the 4.2 in it (and he could return it) and the others 4.3 .

I'm beginning to suspect a little foul play here on Staples part. I called today because I hadn't received a confirmation email. I was informed that Eudora was out of stock. Meanwhile, a day later, the item can still be added to the shopping cart. Guess I'll hafta try this one in person.

Are you sure Eudora Pro can be upgraded from 4.3 to 5.0 for free? I went to their website and it says you have to pay to upgrade from 4.3 paid mode to 5.0 paid mode. You can, however, get your 4.3 upgraded to 5.0 for free if you get it with advertisements. Did you have to register with Eudora to get this upgrade for free? I am currently running 4.3 in paid mode and would like an upgrade for free.

Yes, if you have the Eudora 4.3 CD, you can upgrade to 5.0 for free. Just download the free paid upgrade program from their website and run it to install it. I assume it looks at your drive and if it sees you are running the paid Eudora 4.3 version it goes ahead and installs version 5.0. It is as simple as that.

I paid for Eudora many moons ago. Got a notice thingie on Eudora today saying that 5.0 was out and I should upgrade, but it would cost me money. I said no thanks. Then someone on this thread says that the upgrade was free so I decided to try it. Nope. I have ads now :disgust: Not tooo bad really since I run Eudora maximized all the time. But I want it w/o ads like I've had for a few years now. And I don't wanna pay the special price of 30 bucks to upgrade.

I'm afraid to drop back down to 4.3. Methinks they may have changed some of the file formats er somethin and I'll lose all my mail. I suppose I could back it up, but maybe I'll just quit being cheap and drop the 30 bucks on it.

When doing the 2 MIRs for Eudora who should I send the copy UPC to, Staples or Qualcomm?

Mine said 4.2 outside, had 4.3 inside, and no mention of 5.0.

If you are going to upgrade to 5.0 Eudora from a paid (no advertisements) version 4.3, make sure you download the correct upgrade. Download the free Paid version, not the free sponsored version or you will get the ads.
