Eudora experts get in here, I need help with an "auto-responder"!!!! UPDATE: help, see last post

Ok, can you guys help me out? I'm using Eudora 4.3 (the free version) and I need to set up a distribution group. I mean, a list of addresses to which I can email stuff all at once (without listing all addresses in the "To:" field). I looked under Help, but it's useless as usual. Anyone know how to do this? BTW, I don't run a store, so it's not like you're helping a spammer....

You can do it in the address book. Make a new entry, then you can put a bunch of addresses in there. I have 5.0, so it'll be a little different than on your version so I won't bother explaining everything. Just go to Tools -> Address Book (Ctrl-L for me). Hit New, give it a name, and on the right side should be a big ole box to type names in.

Ok, but once the names are in, when I want to mail everyone in there, do I just type in the name of the address book in the "To:" field? Thanks.

UMMM help!!!! Ok, I made an address book with a nickname and typed it into the "To:" field. Then it gives me a message saying "user unresolved". It's obvious I'm not supposed to do it this way, but how DO I do it????

Try making a small test address book with just a couple of names in it. Send an email to that nickname + a cc to yourself so you can tell how it's going out.

The address book should work, but if your goal is to send out an email to a distribution list w/o everyone seeing the names then you could also just send it to yourself and cut/paste the list into the bcc: area.
