I would like to hear some feedback from users who uses those e-mail clients personally. Please tell us how advanced are the features and how helpful have they been in your own practical experiences. Thanks.

Messenger is just plain old basic.
I use it cause thats what I like. I've grown accustomed to the features and the lay out.
Maybe its also that I dislike microsoft.. I don't know. Its simple enough ofr me to use.

i dont think any of these clients are more powerful than the next. each one has its own opttions that you cant get in the others but its really what youre accustomed to using. im an outlook user btw.

Out of all of these I REALLY dislike Eudora the most. I used it for about 3 weeks (it's the standard app here on campus), and something about it just irked me. I didn't like the feel. Netscape Messenger and Outlook are better, but Outlook is definately more bloated. If you want a good client that is REALLY streamlined (i.e., won't hog your resources), try out i.Scribe. It's availabe for Windows and BeOS (and soon Linux) and works wonderfully. Get it athttp://www.ozemail.com.au/~fret.

Well, you can't please everyone....

I have been using Eudora since '93 and still love it. But then again, I am still using (and loving) the Agent newsreader, since '92. Many have come and gone, but after all these years nothing beats Eudora. I find that the filters are better on it, and this is very important with all the email I go through. Last I looked, my "IN" mail folder was around 430mb :Q And with over 100 message rules. In other words.... I am stuck with Eudora ;)

BTW: For the advanced user, Eudora has an .INI file that you can really tweak and customize. One could spend a week re-configuring things that are not available in the normal "options" window.

Eudora Pro is the best in my opinion. Outlook has way to much going on in it. Outlook express is limited just like Eudora Light. And lastly, never used Netscape

I've been using Eudora Pro too since version 2 or 3. I've grown accustomed to the look and feel, but I know many people swear by Outlook. A good thing about Eudora Pro though is that you won't get hit by the many Outlook worms and virii.

I have been using Nestscape since 3.xx days. Was happy till 4.76.

But their new Netscape 6 sucks. It is slow, idiotic (shows document done even when it has just started to load), after 10secs or so it closes the surf and all buttons stop functioning. Moreover it is heavy on system resources.

I feel sorry for upgrading. I wrote to Netscape people. Hope they look into.

:D
