Gas emissions from flatulent cows could soon be restricted by a EU quota system as penal as that imposed on milk production, an agricultural expert has predicted.

It could be worse. They (or the U.S.) could start taxing flatulant people. :Q

We already tax other hydrocarbon fuel gasses. Why not this excess methane, too?

Better yet, maybe we could pay people to capture and recycle it.
