EU criticizes violence in Yemen while bombing Libya.... huh?

Was listening to NPR the other day and there were talking about the attacks in Yemen on their president and how the EU (could have been UN) were critical of the violence and calling for it to end etc.

And then the next story was about how the EU was stepping up its bombing campaign in Libya.


It almost makes your head explode. The whole thing would make for an awesome joke if it wasn't true.

Is your post serious or parody? You would call a man a hypocrite for him condemning violence of innocents if the day prior he had shot to death a mass murderer?

In both cases we have people trying to overthrow their leader, but some reason it is acceptable in Libya, but not acceptable in Yemen.

Yemen is not in a civil war yet, Libya is.

in Yemen it's mostly innocent protesters getting killed, not combatants like in Libya.

there's a difference.

there's a chance of ending the violence in Yemen, it's too late in Libya.

there is no EU bombing campaign, it's a NATO campaign, get your facts straight

in yemen the president could still walk out.
In libya it got to a point where you can't go back. Gheddafi is a personal enemy of the NATO too, so it's not just about the people wanting democracy.
