Maybe the civil servant union will declare a sympathy strike and shut down Brussels. Probably safe to say that this won't be another added to the 10% plus unemployment rate in the Eurozone. It's a telling state of affairs when labor laws are such that your employer needs to document things like "suffers from an astonishing lack of daily awareness in the world of work," and you have to call someone who spends the day gossiping instead of working to be suffering from "verbal hyper-productivity" and someone who has no fvcking clue what he's talking about as having a "lack of conceptual content" in his speech.

rofl... A certain amount of sink or swim is a good thing in the work place. And in school. And in the rest of life.

I'd rather have that than the "CEO needs a new yacht, better fire 10,000" mentality we have in America.

Why do you hate freedom?

Salarymen are free to...obey. Bosses are free to give orders. Salarymen are free to quit if they do not like their boss...free to go obey another boss. Salarymen are also free to become bosses...but everyone cannot be a boss, only a minority. So in the end, the majority is free to be slaves. The only difference between now and ancient Rome is that now slaves have a few more rights, and a few more possessions. But they are still slaves.

Heh, I was joking. It was the Fark-style response of anyone questioning how America does things.

But since we are a democracy we have to maintain the illusion that the 'slaves' are free people living in the land of the free......
