EU:3 Complete

For those that don't like going the d/l route, this is the only way to get the 2 expansions via physical copy and BB has it now at only $10. Even if you only had bought the original or if you haven't gotten it yet, a good price to get the whole shebang.

On an unrelated tertiary note, they also have R6Vegas 1 for $15, I recently picked up Vegas2 at CC for $10 but had been unable to locate a copy of 1.

Okay, so nobody knew that EU:3 was Europa Universalis 3.

This is exactly why PC gaming is dead. 🙂

Well, this belongs in Hot Deals, which has already been posted.

I knew what it was, just haven't played the game...tried EU 1 demo ages ago and haven't felt like looking at the series again.

Couldn't be that others know what it means, but just don't care about the game? no, that would be unpossible....

I was just joking. Hahahah

This is a strange game for me in that I had more fun learning how to play it than playing it. Once I finally mastered all the mechanics, which is no small task, the game seemed kind of dull. The use of merchants was one thing in particular that seemed to require a lot of management with little payoff. Could be that I am just not patient enough when playing to really enjoy the experience.

Using EU3 as a campaign with the Total War battle engine would be pretty sweet.

The combat mechanic in EU3 frustrated me a great deal. Ping ponging enemy armies yet not being able to fully annihilate them is infuriating.

For more entertaining (IMHO) grand strategy game, check out Hearts of Iron 2 which is based on the EU engine.

@Punter, yes, that would totally rock. And perhaps throw in Mount&Blade to allow you to go in and personally mix it up w/ the enemy. However, good luck trying to balance all these levels.
