Out of boredom, i started up ETW again and started a campaign as Venice.
About 20 turns into the game, I have 10 provinces and all sparsely defended while i'm trying to push the Ottomans away. I'm just waiting for Prussia or Poland-Lithuania to attack me. I'm allied with quite a few factions, including Venice, Bavaria and PL.
Anywho, I'm just amazed nobody has broken their alliances and attacked me yet.. quite stunned actually. Whats more, 30 turns in, Prussia is expanding and then declares war on me making a move for me...
Here's the part that just about made me poop myself: PL, on that SAME turn, moves about 5 stacks all around my regions towards Prussia including 2 full stacks towards the city Prussia was making a move for. Whats more.. Venice moves a full stack in, and so does Bavaria.. all coming in to protect me.
PL has had a dozen chances to screw me over and rape me and hasnt done so. And Venice keeps destroying the Ottomans who blockade me from time to time.
Since when did Alliances actually work? I'm hoping this isnt a fluke, but I havent played in the last patch or two though.
