i used them for four years or so... i dont know what misterpresident is talking about but i didnt find their stupid atms anywhre and i got tired of having to mail all my deposits in and whatnot. also, their internet account access was REALLY problematic for me many times. it got better once they redesigned the site (in terms of being able to access your account infomration) but the redesign was ugly and slow and ungainly and i ddint like it. so i closed my account. eh.

I use them for stock trading and IRA, not for general banking. Some coworkers are using Ameritrade which looks to be more reliable and cheaper.

Maybe once or twice a week on e-trade parts of the site won't work, and it will ask you to log in when you try to go to those parts. The login will fail (because that site section is down) and increase your failed login count until it makes you close and reopen your browser before you can log in again.

Also when auto-reinvesting dividends in the IRA the date on the shares bought with dividends is shown as 1/1/1970 making me wonder why the shares haven't gone up much in 33 years....

i currently have etrade for long term stocks and drip stocks, so i don't constantly execute many trades. usually just log on every two weeks or so to check on my accounts and do my homework on some stocks.

i'm tired of citibank so i'm checking to see if online banking is any good...seems a lot easier to tie in my securities account with banking to transfer funds.

does ameritrade offer online banking? i checked their site but it doesn't provide any info. well thanks for the replies.
