Ethnic Cleansing - hate game....how does stuff like this get into the mainstream market?

yahoo.com took advertisements off of this site today after many groups argued that it violates anti-defamation rules.

my question is this.......how the hell does something like this get into the mainstream market? i thought that not every person or company can just go and sell anything, doesn't it have to meet some sort of requirements? this is kinda sad 🙁

You may not like what they're saying...I don't like what they're saying...but they still have Freedom of Speech just like you and me.

You feel bad about the game, don't buy it. There's gotta be a market for them to produce the game...if no one buys it, they'll realize it can't be profitable and not make anymore

i'm honestly amazed at how desensitized everyone is, how can you all just sit there and not be amazed a game like this is in the mainstream? i can see it being an underground type thing, but i can't believe this is even getting media attention, which will only serve to expand it's potential audience, this is appalling to me, and i'm shocked it's not to anyone else

I think we all agree that it's distasteful borderline abhorent. But that's one of the great contradictions of being American. People are guaranteed the right to be @ssholes. Unfortunately the media takes it upon itself to broadcast this fecal matter across the country; essentially lining these nimrods' pockets.

I'd be amazed if I found out loads of people bought it.

It's getting media attention from everyone saying how much they hate it....Which in turn gives it more exposure => more people buying it

Yer kidding right? Marylin Manson, Heaven's Gate, Hugh Grant getting a hummer... The media *lives* to give attention to things that don't deserve it. And I wouldn't call these games "mainstream." Q3A and UT are mainstream. When I see Ethnic Cleansing sitting in my local EB after it sells a few hundred thousand copies then we can call it mainstream.

Oh, and the blind ignorance and hatred that some people have never ceases to suprise, sicken, and shock me.
