I have a Dlink DIR 655 router with share point but its very flaky.

Is there anything I can buy that will just plug into the Ethernet port and will share a keyboard and mouse?

Your question isn't very clear, but I assume that you want to control multiple computers with the same keyboard and mouse. If so, what you want is a KVM switch.

Regular sharing of KBD, Mouse ,Video, is Not Network/Ethernet related and need to be done (as post above) by a KVM switch and its propriety cables.

Example - http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16817403056

If you have few computers that are connected to a Router and each one has its own Monitor you can use KBD & Mouse that are attached to one computer to control the others through the Network.

All you have to do is download and install this free app.

Yep I didnt want to make things too complicated but I will elaborate, I have DAQ which shows up in Device Manager as an HID Device. The Router and the DAQ need to be together while a laptop reads data off the DAQ remotely. The Program detects the DAQ fine on SharePoint but it just looses connection(Dlink sharepoint related) so I am trying to find a better solution.
