ethernet to usb adapter

Does something like this exist? google only find the opposite eg. usb to ethernet.

Reason: connecting some non-pc hardware like dlna compatible home cinema receiver to network but reiceiver only has a lan port no wifi capabilites.

I could then plug in an usb wifi adapter to conect to network.

That won't work unless the device specifically is made to communicate with usb wifi adapters - aka already has the drivers installed. What you need is a wireless bridge that you can plug into the LAN port that will then connect to the wireless network. Or plug it into a network switch with a cable.

easier to throw a linksys on ethernet imo. client bridge mode. they come with 4 or 5 ports usually 😉

ok thanks for your help. What i didn't mention is that the bridge should have dual band (eg 5 ghz) cause I would use it for streaming. But I saw linksys has such a bridge. And I just remembered I actually have an old non-wlan router-switch somewhere which i could use.
On the other hand the bridge is almost as expensive as a second dual band router anyway...

Dlink DAP-1522 - dual band client bridge with 4 gigabit ethernet ports. I have installed several, works very well.
