Question Ethernet suddenly disconnects

Hi, Recently my Ethernet disconnects suddenly, when I surf the net or play games. I had an unknown device problem that had been resolved by installing AMD chipset drivers....the Ethernet issue was even before that...I thought it would stop but it didn't. My motherboard is MSI B650 gaming Wifi Am5 socket

Have you tried the latest LAN/WiFi drivers from either the MSI website or from Realtek. Another option to try is to go into the BIOS and disable the LAN/WiFi. Boot into Windows. Shutdown and go back into BIOS and enable them again. Boot into Windows. I know it sounds weird but that fixed both an AMD laptop and desktop for me.

I switched off windows allow to stop the net option in power Management ..seems fine till now..Hope everything's ok...I haven't installed the latest Lan/Wifi drivers from Realtek or MSI... should I install it ?

I prefer to only update if things are not working. Up to you.

Yeah I never update ethernet drivers if it is working consistently, would look elsewhere like the power management you checked (which I'd notice immediately, first time system went to sleep and woke up).

The last time I had intermittent ethernet, one of the ethernet cables had the latching tab break off and it was sliding out of the network switch socket. The time prior, it was failing capacitor(s) in a different switch.
