Ethernet-ready printer and Wireless Router

Hello all,

I want to connect an Ethernet-ready printer (HP Business Inkjet 2800dtn) to a Wireless Router such as a WRT54G (via one of its four wired ethernet ports) and allow wireless laptops which connect to that router to print to the printer.

Would it be possible for me to setup that without a problem or would I need to get a separate wireless print server to achieve this?

Thanks for your help.

No problem at all. That's exactly what it's meant to do.

Just get the IP of the printer after you plug it in and power it on, then setup the computer to print by adding an IP port.

If you would like trouble free Network printer assign to it a Static IP that it is on the same subnet as the rest of your Network.

Thanks alot for the replies, I could see it working in theory but I wanted to be 100% sure before going through with the setup. Thanks again.
