ethernet port on mobo broken?

i have an asus k8n-e mobo thats about 2 months old. just last night my internet connection stopped working. i noticed that the orange light that is usually when my ethernet cable is plugged in was not on. i spent an hour or two messing with it and nothing worked. i decided to format and reinstall windows because my c: drive needed it anyway. still doesnt work. its not the cable or the router because the other computers on the network work fine.

is it busted...?

Get yourself a PCI NIC, it will be just as good if not better.
