Ethernet port doesnt work on Vaio

Hello, we recently got broadband and we have to use the usb connection for it to work. There's no connection when used through the ethernet port, which i want, but for some reason the usb works only.

My computer is below. I know some computers require you to install drivers to get it to work, but mine didnt come with any...I really dont want to spend money on a PCI ethernet card.

Any help is appreciated.

Take a look at the BIOS, might be that the onboard LAN is disabled.

theres really nothing i can do in my bios...

hold on i might have fixed it...ill come back if i didnt.

problem solved: i accidentally disabled that port a while back when i thought we wouldnt get broadband/trying to save any power possible for a our video card (which im sure is stupid considering it probably doesnt save any)
