Ethernet bridges and static ip's what goes where?

So i finally got my machines to detect my wireless ethernet bridge. So now i know the devices work but i am not sure where my ip's go. I hav a Linksys wet11 adapter. Also the network i am on only works on static ip's. So first off if i want the xbox i have to access the internet would i have to set the wet11 bridge for crossover or straight thru? Also am i running on ad hoc or infrastructure. Also the static info would that be put in the bridge or the xbox (think of it as just a cheap computer). or is it both or would one be static and the other be dynamic? Usually i am ok with all other network stuff but this is my first attempt with bridges and i am lost. Please help.
