Semi related, what do you guys think of the esurance chick?

??! Are you waiting for some other dweeb on here to say "She's HOT!" so you can say, "yeah, I thought so too." (ATOT seems to have plenty of people who would rather stare at a cartoon than an actual woman.) Or, are you waiting for some dweeb on here to say "She's HOT!" so you can make fun of them?

Regardless, in the one commercial where she says something like "let's get in the hybrid" - I cringe enough that I wouldn't want them as my insurance company. Plus, the implication in one part of a commercial that they don't use paper! "quote, buy, PRINT" Ohhhhhhh. You print it.

Esurance tried to scam a friend of mines by offering a low price, then rising it dramatically (to the tune of $1200) after they checked his driving record. He hasn't had any accidents and had 2 points for blocking the box, 2 years ago.

After doing some googling, he found out that Esurance makes not checking driving history a common practice, which is why they can offer low rates. Most people don't realize this, buy a policy, and end up with a huge bill after Esurance jacks up the price on them.

Esurance is a scam.

I had it the past 6 months and didn't have any issues. Of course, I didn't have any accidents either nor did I need to call in. It was about $100 cheaper for me than Progressive. However, just 1 day after my other insurance expired and I signed up with them, they charged me for having no insurance. I was kinda stunned, since I think most places do this anyway. But 1 day!

I'm goin through a friend's sister's insurance and I pay $30 less per 6 month and have AAA included with it too.

How often do you deal with your insurance provider? How often are you in wrecks? Given that I've been going over 15 years without ever once having to do anything other than mail in my payment or add/remove cars/coverages (which only happens once every few years), I'm perfectly happy with terrible customer service if it means low rates.

However, if they really do things like sign you up then later jack your rate up real high or cut you off because they didn't check you out thoroughly enough from the start, then they deserved to be bombed into oblivion by the Air Force.

I had Millers First Insurance out of Illinois cancel my policy a few months after they had already given it to me because I was unemployed at the time. Not because I couldn't pay my premium. Because I was unemployed. I hate them with avengence and do everything in my power to let them and everyone else know, and try to hurt their bottom line as much as possible. I guess I haven't asked the Air Force to bomb them yet though.
