The default timings are 2.5-4-4-9 (CAS-tRCD-tRP-tRAS). My RAM is 1GB of Corsair XMS 3200.

Any guesses before I go and do this?

Try changing the tRAS to 6. It gives better performance than 9 on most chipsets. This should be relatively easy to do.

Best I could do was 2-3-3-6. And that was with no voltage increase either.. it stayed at 2.6V. I tried upping all the way to 2.9V with tighter timings (tried 2-2-2-5, 2-2-3-6, 2-3-2-6), and none of them worked :(

Do you know what IC's that are used on your ram? Depending on the IC's, you may want to go up to 3.4V or higher depending.

YOU WILL NEED ACTIVE COOLING AT 3.0V+

No clue what ICs my RAM is using. And I don't want to use active cooling for my RAM.. so I guess I'll have to be satisfied with 2-3-3-6.

The stickers on the RAM say Corsair CMX512-3200C2 XMS Rev 1.1.

EDIT: Oops.

check this out

Winbond BH-6
Package: TSOP II
Stock Voltage: 2.5 V
Max. recommended Voltage: 3.2 V
low latency chips, love voltage (specsheet says 3.6v, but often the pcb dont doesn't like that), needs a little bit more voltage than BH-5, runs usually at 240 - 255Mhz with 2-2-2-X @ 3.1 - 3.4v, 256mb sticks overclock better than 512mb
