Est. Performance of GT200b

I have exchanged my twin 4850's for a single XFX GTX280 to get an est. on the performance of GT200b "656/1640 MHz"

I managed to OC the card up till 621/1410. I had a hard time with running 3d mark 06 above 1410mhz... The card is quite well build not like my 4850 and somehow feels different from the GTX 260!!!

I ran crysis with 1.2 patch and at 1920 resolution

Crysis@16AF 50Fps *Crysis at MED all tabs

COD4@16AF 66Fps *Maxed out



Estimated score of a Gt200b at 650/1640:-

Crysis@16AF 54-56Fps

COD4@16AF 70-72Fps

unless you were running on med graphics you are so full of it. care to explain how your card gets 20+fps more then the official review when playing crysis? http://images.anandtech.com/gr...061408203021/17059.png

and in case you are going to say your overclock caused that much of an increase here is a screenshot of a card overclocked past your speeds and still gets no where close to 50fps!!

are you running medium settings, those numbers do look a bit high for the higher quality settings.

What are you basing these numbers on? Anyone can bench a GTX 280 (or not) and pull some numbers out of their ass, but that doesn't make them an actual indication of what GT200b performance will be like. Based on your numbers it looks like you're just adding about 10% to your GTX 280 score. If you think GT200b is going to be about 10% faster than GT200, why not just say so?

Well i based it on the fact that OCing the 280 to 620/1410 from 600/1296 yielded added 4-5 FPS in most of the games..

The OC was about 20 / 110 so if i were to OC GTX 280 to 640-650 / 1520-1600 it would bump the FPS at least 4-5 FPS...!!!

In simpler word's:

GTX 280 NOC - 100
GTX 280 OC - 104
GTX 280 GT200b -108-110
