My dad and sister keep getting sh*t from these a$$holes. My dad's credit card was charged twice with these bastards, out of the blue. Today my sister just got a letter in the mail saying, "You're now a member of Essentials, enjoy your free 30 days trial - you will be billed automatically after that time period". That's just plain WRONG! We NEVER signed up for this crap service. My dad fixed it with the credit card company and didn't have to pay, but this is just annoying as hell. I have a feeling that the credit card companies are selling our information to them, and Essentials is signing us up without our knowledge. These bastards are going to pay. If any of you guys get a letter from "Essentials" in a lime green envelope, open it and make sure you call and cancel, or you might see a bill in your next month's account! :disgust::|

why not just get whole new CC, report it lost or something

btw, is that some online thing, otherwise, how would they obtain your CC#?

there's nothing wrong with the credit card security - it wasn't compromised (by us anyway). i really believe the cc companies are selling our info to these bastards, who in turn lie about us having signed up for them "sometime in the past through one of our many avenues: mail, phone, email etc".

did anyone have any charges like this? there are bound to be a few... i think they try this scam a lot.

ok, i work for citibank, and we solicit that essentials $hit when cardmembers call in...the cc companies are in on it with "essentials". they're buddy-buddy, so to speak. btw, you can get 2 free airline tickets, and THEN cancel, and still get your money back!! i dont know if they make that clear to consumers, but you can. essentials is crap, though.
