Im sure you have seen some people place the title Esq. at the end of their name, denoting htem as an "Esquire". Other than owning the watch or subscribing to the magazine, what exactly does the title Esquire entitle a person of?

Is it somthing associated with a law degree or attorney?

just curious :)

THELAIR you guessed correctly

by going through 3 or 4 years of pure hell and earning a J.D. (Juris Doctor)/law degree and passing the bar exam...

Esquire is actually derived from an old Latin term 'esquirtus', which means interchangable head & a$$hole !

Part of the derivation:

Overheard some surgeons talking.
First surgeon asks, "What kinds of people do you like operating on?"
Second surgeon says, "I like operating on accountants. They're parts are all neatly arranged."
Third surgeon says, "Lawyers are easiest - no heart, no guts, and the head and the a$$hole are interchangable."

et tu, esquire ?
