ESPN's Top 25 worst teams of the last 25 years question

first, i think its dumb to have teams like columbia football or duke football in it...should have just been pro sports.

but my real question is where the hell were the 2003 Detroit Tigers?
year...............W.......L............%
03-Detroit.....43.......119.........265
the did include the '96 tigers as their #9 team
96-detroit...... 53.......109 ........327

the '03 tigers were the 2nd worst team in baseball history, only losing to the '62 Mets, but they arent in the last 25 years

That *is* odd, ESPN usually displays an acute sense of temporal bias. I agree that college teams shouldn't be included, you might as well start allowing junior college or high school teams.

Interesting that there's no Bucs, Bengals or Cardinals (or Seahawks for that matter, that 2-14 season was painful) in the list.

I went to RU in 1998 but my sister was enrolled in 1997 and she told me all about it. :-D But even though RU went 0-11 in 1997, I thought 2001 was the worst performance. RU went 2-9 BUT check out these scores:

West Virginia L 7-80 Big-East
Pittsburgh L 0-42 Big-East
Boston College L 7-38
Miami (FL) L 0-61 Big-East
Virginia Tech L 0-50

And... dum dum dum

California L 10-20

(Cal's only victory of the year)

I wish someone had thought to make a documentary of the Prairie View football team as they went through that losing streak. Man, I'm sure it would've been comic gold.

WTF? No 1-15 2001 Carolina Panthers?? VERY surprising, especially since any given Sunday in the modern NFL even Detroit or Cinci can win, but these Panthers lost 15 STRAIGHT IN A ROW!!!
