ESPN videos not playing

Hope this is the right forum, Firefox / Chrome / IE or Edge not playing videos on ESPN site. I've disabled AD Blocking plug ins ... disabled windows firewall / disabled hardware acceleration in flash google search to see what others have or are experiencing etc .

No solutions found at this point. Every once in a while the videos will play Firefox / Chrome ... but most of the time they will not.

Any ideas ?

Found a solution. Created a new HOSTS file and renamed the old. now videos are working.

Glad you got it working. I definitely feel your pain. If I remember right I have to allow pop-ups for the cable login thingy to work to watched the locked programs. I have a HOSTS file, adblock plus, noscript, pop-ups disabled and third party cookies disabled so these types of sites are a pain in the butt to get working correctly.

You are so lucky, I had to install a Flash Blocker to keep those stupid things off of my PC.

C.B.S. just switched up some servers too. Now it refuses to stream episodes even with ABP disabled on c.b.s.com. Sooo, like OP, probably the hosts file at work. I'll wait for a new hosts to be released - not like I have to watch Survivor. :whiste:


:::::update:::: Streaming ok with hosts file disabled. I have ABP enabled though. Ended up adding a few custom filters, but can't say for sure they helped.

MVPS HOSTS file was just released on the 26th if that is the one you use.
