The top 6 are obvious and require no discussion but

2001-2003 Jason Kidd > 2005-2006 Steve Nash

Discuss.

I thought the list was pretty much spot-on.

And they have Kidd ranked higher than Nash, so I am not sure what you are saying.

The reason I say discuss is because a lot of people think Nash is the best thing since sliced bread.

Nash won MVP two years in a row. It raises the question of did he really deserve it? If someone like John Stockton were playing today, would he have won the MVP over Nash? What does this say about the talent level of the NBA? Sure players can score, but do they really dominate anymore?

Name any other players that averages a double-double for their career in points and assists, or is the all-time leader in two major categories, assists and steals?

Have you ever seen him play a whole game?

Everyone wants to be old school and all they've seen are the same highlights over and over. Nothing against cousy, but I can't possibly judge him because I've never seen him play.

When I was around 12 yo, I went up to Cousy after an old-timers game and asked for his autograph. He told me to ?Get lost kid!" I did get Kenny "Sky" Walkers autograph however. What a player he turned out to be.

I think some players a person can just look at their stats to see how great they were, like oscar robertson, but most aren't like that imo. Its nice tho to see some of the old time games on espn classic to see how some of these players played.
