Just let see the result for Oklahoma vs Texas on Oct 12, 2002 in Cotton Bowl.
I hope by that time OU offense run smoothly :p
I'm just getting bored and sick watching OU offense lately.

Anyone want to become OU Quarterback? ;)

Last thing, Big 12 still the best conference in the country :)

I like to see Miami and VT at the Fiesta Bowl. But that's almost impossible since they paly their last game with each other.

I do see the winner of that meeting in the Fiesta bowl if they were both undefeated until then.

The Sunbelt is a joke of a conference. That said UNT will win it again. Last year they won it with a 5-6 record, after beating MiddleTennU. Heh, I prediect a repeat. Conference USA and the WAC are also jokes when it comes to football. Then again, The Big 12 does have Baylor LOL.

I always ask people to tell us the method by which they measure their claims. I can easilly come up with dozens of different ways to determine the best conference (and thus there are many different answers). Here are most common ones that I see in no particular order:
1) Which conference had a team who won the national championship?
2) Which conference has the most top 5 teams?
3) Which conference has the most top 25 teams?
4) Which conference has the least bottom 25 teams?
5) Which conference won the greatest percent of non-conference games?
6) Which conference has my favorite team in it?
7) Which conference has the highest average ranking?
8) Which conference has the best win/loss ratio?
9) Which conference has the most players go to the NFL?
10) Which conference has the best historical record?

Note: each of these has its variations. One frequently used example is to exclude the cupcake teams from the conference you like when doing the comparison (like ignoring Baylor or Kansas in the Big 12 or Duke in the ACC).

What method did you use? Was it one in the list or was it something else? Sadly #6 is the most common. I happen to use #7 (which currently puts the conferences in this order: #1 Pac 10, #2 SEC, #3 Big 12, #4 ACC, #5 Big 10, #6 Big East...).

What no Auburn? :p

I saw a lot of LSU in those predictions. I don't see that happening. The two best teams in the SEC West are Alabama and Auburn. Since Alabama is ineligible for the SEC championship and a bowl game that leaves Auburn in the SEC West.

In the SEC East I see Florida possibly being the best team, but they have to get by LSU and Auburn. I think Georgia is the most overrated Top Ten team in the country and that they will lose to Florida and Auburn. Florida will probably lose two SEC games this year as well. This will leave Tennessee with as East champions.

Bobby Bowden has no say in what conference he plays in.

I believe it is common knowledge that FSU had their chance to join the SEC, but Bobby Bowden wanted more control over his schedule. In otherwords he did not want to play Alabama, Georgia, Tennessee, and other SEC teams every year. He chose the ACC because he knew he would have a better chance to win National Championships.

Florida's out of conference schedule has always been a joke, ever since UF took Miami off their schedule. Marshall? Middle Tennessee State? Come on... FSU has played Notre Dame, UF, Florida and we were supposed to play Auburn, but they backed out.

Auburn cancelled the 1999 game vs Florida State because of Terry Bowden. The way Terry handled the situation when it was evident he was going to be fired left a bad taste between the Bowden family and Auburn. I know Bobby has said he has no hard feelings towards Auburn (they employed 2 sons and a son-in-law in the 90s), but the situation was definitely not a comfortable situation and many felt that the game would be a grudge match. Auburn paid FSU $500,000 to cancel the game per the contract stipulations and put the whole Bowden incident behind them. Any future cancellations were a result of FSU reacting to Auburn's buyout. I miss the Auburn vs FSU rivalry especially since Auburn has a history of owning Florida State.
