ESPN app on xbox one seems flaky as hell

Last couple times I've tried to watch streaming ESPN over the app, it dies in the middle of the game and stops working for 20 minutes or so. It has the circle animation at the bottom of the screen and then errors out saying to try again or giving me an error code.

Anyone else experience this with this app on the xbox one?

My network was not having any issues at the time. I was online with a game and my wife was streaming netflix and she was not having any issues.
