Escalation in Iraq: Missile fired at US transport aircraft

Escalation? How so? Not sure if you realize it or not but Iraq is a theater of war right now. Just for you kiddos let me remind you of something. War is not a game, war is not something that can be resolved on a movie screen while you sit and eat popcorn. Securing a country is not the easy task you seem to think it should be. This isn't a walk in the park and there will be resistance. You will notice that the people resisting are the ones that had a good life under Hussein. They were in his favor and lived at the expense of the vast majority of Iraqis. We will hunt them down and arrest of kill them. Those of you that think this is something unusual in war need to get up from the PC and read a history book.

This is new. Last week heavy mortars were used, now surface to air missiles. These are all things that have not been present since the official end of major combat on May 1. Even Central Command has stated that the resistance is getting increasingly bold, well orgzanized, and sophisticated. The use of missiles is a step towards that. Trust me, I know that Iraq is a war zone my brother is in Baghdad and my sister is in Kuwait so don't talk to me about video games ****.

Umm, I could be confused but the president declared and end to the hostilities which I believe officially means the "war" is over. We are in occupation mode right now.

So if someone invaded the US to "liberate" us the rich people who have a good life under Bush would resist? 😀
