I'm looking for an enclosure for 2.5" SATA drives. I found the MX-25 which supports up to 500GB (the biggest i've found yet). Anyone have any comments about the the mx-25 or recommendations?

also I needed a docking station too (blackx the best?) but i need the enclosure first...

Edit: Just noticed that you needed a FW (FireWire) enclosure. Sorry, the one I posted below does not include FW. My apologies.

Patriot model. Holds two drives, eSATA and USB 2.0 as well as RAID. Hot swappable bays!

$28.xx shipped from Amazon after rebate.

Edit: Can't seem to find the max drive size for this unit though.

Thanks Engineer. Looks good but I'm looking for a portable 2.5" so 2 bays aren't needed. Also I don't mind if it is firewire or eSata, as long as it has one high speed interface

This one is portable. Self powered (maybe via USB, not sure). No external power supply brick. It's smaller than it would appear...just a tad wider than a normal version.

But there are cheaper versions of single 2.5" models for sure. I'll keep an eye out.

By the way, since this is "hot swappable", it could double as a dock too! ;)
