eSATA ExpressCard with Leopard compatibility?

Parasitic

I ripped out a 74GB Raptor from my old desktop and put it in an Antec MX1 enclosure and have been using it through USB 2.0 but the speed doesn't seem to be fast enough for things like encoding through Handbrake and running applications off that, so I thought maybe it's time to look into eSATA solutions. I noticed a couple of ExpressCards on Newegg but they don't seem to have Leopard compatibility... has anyone found one that works nicely under Leopard (and Vista x64?)?

This is for the MBP.

Thanks

I wait with bated breath 🙂

In all honesty, if I had a MBP, I would care, I am always on teh look out for faster, nonlegacy connections to hook things up with. It is a strange compulsion of mine, but since I have a MacBook, I am stuck with FireWire400 at best.

I have the Bytecc eSATA expresscard and it works fine with Leopard. It uses the SIL3132 chipset I think, and although the driver is only for Tiger, it works for me in Leopard.
