eSATA Drive Errors

Recently, I purchased a WD MyBook 500gb USB2.0 / eSATA drive. The drive appeared to work fine as USB 2.0 so I decided I'd hook it up as a eSATA drive. Almost immediately my system started to hang up off and on when I transfered files to the drive. Upon viewing the eventLog I noticed three different errors/warnings which appears numerous times (I included them at the bottom of my post).

I have it hooked up to the eSATA port on my P5B Deluxe Wi-FI edition motherboard. Does anyone know how I may go about further troubleshooting or fixing this issue? The drive works perfectly as USB 2.0.

Thanks,

Ohh, sorry about reposting this. I had posted it in the wrong section and didn't realize it until this morning.

Have you tried the drive on other SATA ports? On other PCs? If the problem follows the drive you could be looking at a bad SATA port on the enclosure, or Firmware problems. If the problem stays with your PC, could be firmware/drivers issues with the mobo.

Thanks for the suggestions. I actually figured out the problem last night.

For some reason my drivers were stuck. Reformatting (needed to do this anyhow...), reinstalling the OS and then installing the latest drivers (had tried this before) fixed my issue.
