Esata card

Does anybody have a recommendation for an esata card, cheap? I hate spend $30 for a card when I spent $58 for the motherboard. I do not need anything fancy . . . minimum would be 1 external esata port, pcie x1. Any other ports would be a bonus. Thanks.

The absolute cheapest cards are going to be PCI. You can get one of those for about $15. If you need a PCIe card, yes, you're going to spend around $30.

This is probably going to be the cheapest descent card you will find:

You have to realize that there is a minimum cost for manufacturing the boards. Your not going to find something like this for $5 unless its used. It only costs a motherboard manufacture about $0.05 - $1.00 to add a port but when you've got an add on card there are many other components that go into adding that $0.05 port.
