Errors updating IPOD

I downloaded the new ITunes and it said there was an update for my IPod Video. When I try to install the update it gives me an error message. It states:

The IPod "****" could not be updated. An uknown error occurred (1417)

Anyone have any thoughts on why this is?

Also, for some reason it is no longer Downloading a video podcast (cramers lightening round) to the IPod and says that my IPod doesn't support it. I have been downloading them for a long time until this error occurred. Again..your thoughts are welcomed. Thanks in advance.
