Errors in Windows 2000 Event Viewer.

When I first boot my system up, I get 6 messages in the Application Log. 4 of them are errors.

Error - IISInfoCtrs
Description: Unable to query the IIS Info service performance data. The error code returned by the service is data DWORD 0.

Error - FtpCtrs
Description: Unable to collect the FTP performance statistics. The error code returned by the service is data DWORD 0.

Error - WinMgmt
Description: WMI ADAP was unable to load the winspool.drv performance library due to an unknown problem within the library: 0x0

Error - W3Ctrs
Description: Unable to query the W3SVC (HTTP) service performance data. The error code returned by the service is data DWORD 0.


How can I fix these errors?

By default Windows 2000 runs many performance monitors in the background, including disk, system and network performance. If you get any error messages relating to any of the performance counters such as perfmon, perfnet, perfdisk, perfctrs (including the common error: Unable to read IO control information from NBT device) you can manually disable the individual monitors using the programme exctrlst.exe, in the Windows 2000 Resource Kit.

Simply run the programme, and uncheck the Performance Counters Enabled box against any counters you wish to disable.

go to Microsoft Knowledge Base and search for the specific event ID#.

also, you might try checking your IP address that is assigned to the IIS. (in the iis mmc)

do you have a static IP?

i've had that error b4 too.

and you need to fix the problem, not the error report eh.

one thing i did to fix that was to uninstall iis, delete c:\inetpub then reinstall.

hey, did you UN-install iis? and not put it back? i got that error also after i did that on another machine.
