error with installing CCC

hey guys I uninstalled my old catalyst drivers and then ran driver cleaner. I restarted computer and then attempted to install my newer 6-7 drivers. Everytime it gets to installing CCC I get this error message:Error 1316.A network error occurred while attempting to read from the file C:\WINDOWS\Installer\ATICCC.msi.

I looked and that file is in the C:\ATI\ACE dir, there is no C:\Windows|Installer directory and if I try and create one, windows says it already exists. What do I do?

i always though the errow WAS installing CCC 😛

ATi Tray tools is [now] superior.
🙂

sounds like something got corrupted in the DL . . . maybe . . . first try re-d/l'ing

ok thanks....also ATI CCC still shows up in my add remove program in control panel yet I cant do anything with it because its corrupt!

nother thing that pisses me off with these stupid ati drivers is that it always finds my TV first (I have lcdtv and dell lcd screen plugged into the card) and it doesnt matter which one I plug into where on the ati card it always associates the tv as the primary monitor.

sounds bad . . . maybe go into safe mode and manually remove all traces of ATI drivers . .. perhaps someone else will have a better suggestion.

in the past, i never used tv until after everything was complete on VGA. 😉
[don't plug in the tv until you are done installing]
