Right now my 1.6a is running at 131 and is about 2.0 ghz. If i increase it by any more I get this error message :

While initializing device NDSI:
Windows protection error. You need to restart your computer.

I tried increasing the voltage, but it didn't work. My cpu temperature is 40. When I go higher than 131 on safe mode, it works!! My ratio is 1:1. How did I get rid of this error message??? Please reply ASAP.

you mean you have a NDIS.VXD error ;)
you are using Windows98 (not SE) correct?
heres the patched file.
(put it in your windows\system folder)

you should upgrade to Win98SE - Win98FE has alot of problems.

thanks a lot!! it worked!!

I had a couple of questions:
1. What's your ratio?
2. I increased my fbs from 100 - 145, and my is still at 40 degrees, is this normal? Or is my program not working?
3. What programs do you use to make sure everything is stable?

(sorry for bothering you)

1) my ratio is 1:1 cause thats all thats available at my speed.

2) update Asus PCprobe(?) to v2.1608 for cpu temp fix.

3) prime95 / 3dmark2001se

4) cas2/2/2/5 are "fast" ram settings in bios.

HTH :)
