Error while initializing NDIS

Hello,

I'm setting up an Asus P4S533 and am getting an "Error while initializing NDIS - windows protection" error. I didn't want to reformat my hard drive so I am installing this on a hard disk which had an AMD board in it. OS is Windows 98.

If I select Step-by-step confirmation and skip loading the ndis.vxd driver I make it into Windows.

Have installed Windows 98 twice but get the same error at boot.

Any ideas?
