Error when trying to install BF3 Beta

I download through Origin, I then hit "Install" and after the PC grinds for about 20 seconds I get this message:

"Microsoft Visual C++ 2008 Redistributable Setup has stopped working"

I click "Close PRogram", then get this message

"EA Installer Touchup has stopped working"

And that's pretty much it. The first time this happened, I was forced to re-download after closing and re-launching Origin, this time it didn't do that, but I still have the same problem.

Any ideas?

Looks like it's having an issue installing the 2008 setup. Have you tried installing it via Microsoft first and then running it so it can skip that step?
