Error when shutting down, but cant see it!

I sometimes get an error when shutting down my pc, it flashes for a second.

How can I figure out what it says?

you can disable automatic restart and see if that will allow it to keep the bluescreen error up
control panel -> system -> advanced tab -> startup and recovery section settings button -> remove check mark beside automatic restart

or you can see if there is anything in the event log, but where it is on shutdown it may not register it

It does not restart, its not a bluescreen of death

It is a small popup type error which I saw flashed when I was shutting down my PC (it shut down properly)

It could likely be a error when trying to close a program (I usually just shutdown with my MSN and FF windows still up)
