Error reading files from disk I/O error

Just having a little bit of trouble installing a game. Just bought RTW and when i autoplay the disk it comes up with an error saying "D:/ is not a valid Win32 Application".

Also when i open the disk up and run the setup.exe, an error pops up stating "D:/Setup.exe, Only part of a ReadProcessMemory or WriteProcessMemory request was completed"

I have searched the internet including the Micro$oft site for technical help and follow certain cmd protocols to fix this issue.

All help is greatly appreciated.

Do you have a different CD/DVD-ROM sitting around? It sounds like the current one might be going bad... Also if you havn't checked already, take a look at the bottom of the CD/DVD that you are installing from and look for scratches, smudges, dust, etc... It might just be that there is something in the way of the laser from being able to read the data properly.
